The Sun
These pictures were taken with a Lunt 40mm solar telescope and a ASI174 camera. There were aligned and stacked with Autostakkert!3 and then processed in Affinity Photo.
The picture below was taken using a 2x Barlow at about 1.6x so the disc almost fills up the camera.

Here's a couple of close-ups of just the prominences. This time, I was using the Barlow at about 2.1x (change the spacing between the Barlow and the camera).
And the full disc. Same as the full disc above, but just the prominences. This was taken 2 minutes after the prominence photos above. The prom on the top right is changing very quickly.
Back to 1.6x now, and different processing to show the disc and the prominences at the same time. This is 7 images combined into an animated GIF using PIPP.
I saw the prominence as it was starting on the GONG website so I went to set up the telescope. In the eyepiece, I could just see movement over the course of 5 minutes... very fast.
The total time from beginning to end for the movie below is about 42 minutes.
