These pictures were taken with a Nikon D60 DSLR and a Nikon 200mm f/4 telephoto. The lens is completely manual on this camera. I bought it used for only $100 at a local camera shop and it's clearer than the plastic $1000 18-200mm zoom lens they sell with the camera.
This is about the longest focal length I can use without a tripod. This is good, because when I'm 40 feet away from the bird, and neck deep in the water, I don't need a tripod (or monopod) to trip over.
