2016 Supermoon in Ottawa
There will be a full moon on November 14. It also happens to be a 'super moon'. This just means the moon is a little closer to earth at the time of the full moon. So it appears a little bigger than usual.

Here's two pictures from another iPhone app called 'Sky Safari'. These show the exact time and location of moonrise and moonset. Use the compass on your iPhone to find 68 degrees (approximately East) for moonrise, and 293 degrees (approximately West) for moonset. Remember to set your compass for true bearings (not magnetic). In both pictures, the Moon is pretty much right on the horizon (blue is sky, green is land). The times here are for Ottawa.
If it ever gets clear again in Vancouver, I'll take some pictures.
